Facility & Picnic Area Rentals
Facility rentals are available to Town of Guilderland residents from May 1 – October 31, Monday – Sunday, on a first come, first served basis. Reservations for a specific calendar year begin on the first business day of January. Pool Cabana rentals are only available during the open pool season.
To reserve a facility, residents must complete and submit the Request for Use of Facilities Form/Know the Rules and remit with full payment (credit card, check, or cash) to the Parks and Recreation Department. An Alcoholic Beverage, Beer & Wine Permit, can be obtained for an additional $12.00 fee. An approved rental agreement and alcohol permit (if purchased) must accompany the person/resident responsible for the event.
Alcohol is not permitted in the pool area. Glass containers of any kind are not permitted in the park.
Please note: Facility rentals DO NOT include pool admission fees, which are charged separately. Applicable resident and non-resident fees are charged. Non-swimmers are charged an admission fee to access the pool area.

Below is a list of our rental facilities with information about fees, group size and facility amenities. Please note the Ballet Barn facility is not located within Tawasentha Park. The Ballet Barn is an indoor facility with limited amenities.
Trash removal is provided at all facilities; trash should be appropriately disposed of in trash receptacles provided.
Proof of Residency
Facility rentals must be secured by a Town of Guilderland resident. Residents must complete a Request For Use of Facilities form and the Know the Rules form to request a facility rental. Proof of residency will be required. Fees may vary based on the type of rental that is being requested and the group size.
Cancellation Policy
The Town of Guilderland does not provide refunds for facility cancellations.

- No air conditioning, heating, kitchen or cooking facilities are available in the enclosed space
- Nearby bathroom facility (non-flushable toilets)
- Approximately 6 picnic tables
- A facility access code is required to enter the inside enclosure (provided at time of rental)

Picnic Area Fee and Group Size
Accommodates a maximum of 25 individuals
- $65.00 (Group size 25 or less)
Picnic areas are uncovered rental space and are subject to rental limitations. Limited, shared parking is available. Rentals can be used in the park until dusk.

- Charcoal grill (Patrons must provide their own charcoal) Use of wood is prohibited on charcoal grill.
- Approximately 2 to 3 picnic tables in each picnic area
- Nearby bathroom facility (located by the chalet pavilion, non-flushing waterless toilets)

Picnic Area 1
- Picnic area is near the playground and volleyball courts
- Large open grassy area with minimal shade
Picnic Area 2
- Picnic area is past the chalet pavilion, between picnic areas 1 and 3
- Open grassy area with minimal shade, near the volleyball court
- Shared parking area with the Chalet; limitations on rental can occur when the Chalet Pavilion is rented
Picnic Area 3
- Picnic area is past the chalet pavilion, across from the baseball field and is more secluded/shaded.
- An open grassy area with trees, less sun

The pool closes at 7:00pm. Rental of the pool cabana does not include pool admission fees. All pool admission fees are in addition to and separate from cabana rental fees. Non-swimmers will bel charged an admission fee to access the pool area.

- Pool concession stand available; patrons pay for concession stand items
- Alcohol, grills, and glass containers of any kind are prohibited
- Bathrooms available in the pool facility

- $40.00 per hour (2-hour rental minimum applies)
The ballet barn is a large open space with mirrored walls, once used as a dance studio. Rentals are limited as the building is primarily used for recurring activities and programs.
Note: The facility is located at 5885 State Farm Road.

The Guilderland Performing Art Center stage (GPAC) is available to rent for specific venues. All event arrangements must be made with the Parks & Recreation Department. The following forms must be completed and submitted for administrative review and approval. GPAC stage rentals are not secured and final until full payment for the rental has been received by the Parks & Recreation Department and final approval of all forms have been processed.
