Guilderland Central School District

The Guilderland Central School District (GCSD) was created in 1950 through the consolidation of ten smaller districts. The school district is an entity separate from and independent of the Town of Guilderland. It is governed by an elected nine-member school board, and funds its operations through its own property tax levy, state aid, and other sources of income. Most of the Town is served by the GCSD.

Parts of the Town are also located in the Voorheesville Central School District, Mohonasen Central School District, Schalmont Central School District, and South Colonie Central School District.
