The Guilderland Police Department has partnered with Project ChildSafe to offer a free firearm safety kit to anyone who owns firearms. The kit includes educational booklets on firearm safety and a gun locking device.

 

Project ChildSafe is a nationwide program which promotes firearm safety to those who own firearms. The goal of this program is to inform and educate people on key safety issues and it emphasizes the importance of protecting children and preventing injuries caused by firearms that are not stored or handled in a safe manner.
