The Guilderland Police Department holds quarterly Neighborhood Watch Check-Ins. This allows members of the police department to interact with members of the community and work together in crime prevention and reporting.

Neighborhood watch is an organized effort by concerned residents to look out for each other’s safety, and to help law enforcement officers protect people and their homes against criminals.

​

Neighborhood Watch Check-ins are also intended to show people how to cooperate with each other, and with police, in a common cause – safe homes and neighborhoods. By reporting any suspicious circumstances to law enforcement agencies, members of Neighborhood Watch increase their own safety.
