Happy Thanksgiving

I thank the community for its overwhelming response to the YMCA’s Basket Brigade that delivered Thanksgiving meals to hundreds of families.  The Guilderland Food Pantry, Altamont Community Pantry, and other organizations also provided essential assistance during these difficult times.  You can continue to help this holiday season by donating food, money, or volunteering at the Guilderland Food Pantry, Community Caregivers, and other groups who work year-round to address food insecurity in our community. More details are below.

Town News & Announcements

At its meeting last Tuesday, the Town Board formally adopted the Comprehensive Plan Update , a more than four year project to discuss and prepare goals and recommendations ranging from encouraging affordable and workforce housing, expanding parks and recreational opportunities, and adding more sidewalks and multi-use paths. The 181-page document sets forth the framework for how the Town will address the needs of our growing and diverse community. Among the next steps is updating the Town’s subdivision, zoning, and stormwater regulations -- another multiple year project.
